Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is one of the best hack-n-slash games on the Nintendo Switch. But, will it keep you hype up into playing it?
Story:
Hordes of monsters attacked Hyrule Castle, and Zelda end up missing. So, the heroes Link and new playable characters Impa, Lana, and the others must find her.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is incredible. You can attack hordes of monsters by basically pressing the b and y buttons to perform combos and fill up your special attack gauge, and press x in order to hit a lot of enemies with it. You can collect magic jars and used it to activate your Focus Spirit to farm KOs, and bonus effects from your Focus Spirit.
You can play as any of your favorite characters from Legend of Zelda, and plus with new additional characters in the game like Volga, Lana, Cia, and more.
After beating the game, you can go to Adventure Mode. Play, and clear map squares to unlock treasures and A-rank Victory rewards by using certain required characters, and their weapons.
Music/Sound Effects:
The music is awesome with a rock-n-roll remix of some of your favorite Legend of Zelda music from several Zelda games.
Controls;
The controls are simple and easy to use, and can get used to.
Dislikes:
- What I don’t like about the game is the certain rules in certain maps in Adventure mode that restricts you from doing certain things during gameplay. For example, “Don’t Get Hit” rule and you can’t allowed yourself to get hit even once while playing a map square with this rule or else you’re gonna received a lot of damage. You must be careful not to received 2 hits, even if you got a lot of health.
- Also, what I don’t like is that if some of your characters are low-leveled, and you clear certain map squares. You may received a B-rank and can’t receive A-rank Victory rewards because you may had not farm enough KOs per map square, clear the map square in over 15 minutes, and received too much damage. You also ranked in KOs, clear time, and damage taken.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a fun hack-n-slash game and with that I reward it a 8.9 out of 10 stars.
